Human Foods That Can Be Hazardous to your Dog or Cat
During the holidays it's important to remember that not everything we humans eat is healthy for your four-legged friend. In fact some things are downright dangerous. We've compiled a list of some of the human foods to steer clear of. The end of the article includes the number for the ASPCA Poison Control Hot Line. We hope you won't need to use it. Keep an eye on your pet during the festivities. Remember dogs are opportunists when it comes to food and cats can behave strangely when the house is full of guests or even if their owners appear to be under stress or are acting abnormally (rushing, hiding gifts, away from home longer than usual).
Training Classes & Private Lessons
Yes the holidays are a busy time of year, but what about your dog? Don't leave him or her out in the cold, so to speak. Pure Spirit offers classes in Waconia and Prior Lake. Think of training night as "Date Night with your DOG!" They deserve a little attention, too, and the time you spend with them will pay off in good behavior throughout the holidays and beyond. Too busy for a class? Private lessons are also available and a great way to learn tailored to your needs (see special discount in sidebar). If you are interested in classes or private lessons, give us a call at (952)226-2660 to get registered or to get your questions answered.
OK Go Music Video

Have company coming in for the holidays?
If you are planning on having a few extra house guests this holiday season, it's a good idea to eliminate any doubts you might have about your dog's behavior before the company arrives. If you start training classes by the second week of November, you will complete the entire session before Christmas. But if your concerns are more about what your dog will do in your own house, a few private training sessions might be a good idea, and the headache they save you will be well worth the money. Call Becky at (952)226-2660 for more information or to set something up. This is especially a good idea if you have kids that your dog doesn't know joining you, as where there are kids, there is plenty of extra energy! (See special offer in sidebar)
