We would like to Congratulate Sally Pedersen and her wonderful Samoyeds, Stella and Flirt, for a great showing at the Lake Elmo dog show last weekend. Samoyeds are not often sighted doing obedience competitions and Sally and her dogs were the only Samoyeds in classes of much more obedient breeds like Labradors, Shelties and Goldens.  Click here to see their performance and read more about their accomplishments.

Training Class Update

At Pure Spirit, we believe that when your kids go back to school, your dog should too! Our training classes are filling up both in Prior Lake and Waconia, and now is the perfect time to get involved. We will be beginning a Puppy Preschool class in Waconia on September 7, as well as Level 1 in Prior Lake on September 9th. Call Becky at (952)226-2660 to RSVP or for more information.

And with the exposure that puppy mills have gotten over the past several years, they have gotten better at concealing the unsavory aspects of their operations from potential buyers. Join Pure Spirit for the MN Boxer Walk & Wiggle Fest!

Come out to the Bruentrup Family Heritage Farm in Maplewood for the 4th Annual Boxer Walk on September 18th from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition to the walk there will be plenty of family friendly activities, including a boxer kissing booth, a Boxer Baazar, awards for the shortest and longest tail, and a wiggle contest!
