Animal-Speak is the constant companion for animal communicators and animal lovers alike.  Ted Andrews has organized the book into four parts: “Symbols in the Natural World,” “Winged Enchantment,” “Understanding Animal Medicine,” “The Exotic Language of Insects and Reptiles.”  The first part goes into detail about the symbolism and magic of animal totems, flowers, and different types of terrain.  The second part goes into bird totems, and discusses the symbolism of many birds and different magic associated with our avian friends.  The third part goes into more detail about animal magic involving all types of animals, and includes a dictionary of animal totems.  Finally, the fourth part discusses insects and reptiles, often left out of these types of books, but just as important as any of the other animals.

Animal-Speak is a book that is often used in PureSpirit’s Animal Symbolism pages because of its wealth of information.  It’s a large book, almost 400 pages.  But it’s worth the read.  Not only will you enjoy and delight in the facts about all of your favorite animals, but you’ll have the chance to learn a lot about them and yourself.
