If you talk with the animals

they will talk with you

and you will know each other.

If you do not talk with them,

you will not know them.

And what you do not know you will fear.

What one fears, one destroys.

For more than a year now, I have been blessed with extra time with my beloved dog Spot, I believe, much due to the assistance that I received from Marilyn Tokach.

SpotIn 1992, I brought Spot home from the Humane Society when he was two years old. He was a very thin 35 lb Golden Retriever/Sheltie mix and he has been a friend, a child and one of my greatest joys. On December 12, 2002 Spot began having seizures. I took him to the emergency veterinarian hospital that night, his regular veterinarian as soon as they opened and then was referred to the University of Minnesota veterinary oncology department. Unfortunately, all of them agreed, Spot had a terminal brain tumor and his life expectance was one to two months. They put him on medicine and told be to prepare for the worse.

I was obviously distraught and not prepared for this. One of the vets told me that Spot would get progressively worse and I was contemplating putting Spot down to save him from any pain that he potentially would be forced to suffer due to the cancer. About this time, a friend of mine mentioned that I might find comfort in speaking with a woman named Marilyn Tokach who has the ability to "speak" to animals. At that point, I was open to this and called Marilyn. I was skeptical, but really didn't feel that I had anything to lose.

I set up an appointment with Marilyn and had the reading. This reading was over the telephone and Marilyn knew nothing about me. Who I was, what I did for a living, even my last name! What she told me seemed more that outlandish, but along with this information she was able to tell me things that only Spot or a member of my family could have known.

SpotMarilyn told me that I had healing powers and Spot chose to go thru this experience so that he could experience being healed. Clearly, I was skeptical, but Marilyn confirmed that I had healing powers and told me what to do for Spot. I have continued with my healing sessions with Spot and he is alive still today. Now at 14 years old, Spot is still there to wag his tail at me whenever I walk in the door. I attribute this to Marilyn. She told me that Spot was not ready to 'go' yet in 2002 and boy was she right!

I would like to thank Marilyn one more time for giving me the gift of this additional time with my dog. Marilyn has helped me and Spot with her readings and her boarding services over the last 15 months and I am so very very appreciative of her services and he amazing gift of being able to speak with animals. It has clearly changed my life, and Spot's!

Thank you Marilyn,

Very Sincerely,

Dawn and Spot

IN MEMORIAM ~ Spot passed away June 30, 2004, but he will never be forgotten. Dawn's grandmother says that we keep our loved ones that have passed alive by telling their stories. I'm honored to have Spot's story on this site and to have had the opportunity to speak with him while he was with us. -Marilyn
