Pat Hook, Dog Trainer
Pat Hook has been interested in and worked with animals for many years. She has been a veterinary assistant and a zoo keeper and studied biology at the University of South Carolina. For the past 12 years Pat has turned her focus to canine companions by teaching dog obedience in both a class environment and in clients’ homes. She has also mentored students learning the skills to become future trainers. Besides obedience training, she also works with local and national groups which work with canine service dogs serving people with physical needs and autistic children.
Pat’s at-home pack includes Charlie Chihuahua, a cockatiel named Troy, and until just recently, Ruby, part of the pack for nearly 13 years. When not working she enjoys swimming and being near the water.

Trish Phillips, Office Manager
Trish Phillips is an animal lover with a special knack for attracting and adopting neurotic rescue animals. Trish currently shares her home with Opie, the 12-year-old hound mix and his cat, Floyd. After 30 years conducting research for media companies and their clients, Trish found her true calling serving the pet industry. She worked with a local veterinary clinic from 2007-2011 and volunteers with several area rescue organizations.
Trish holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and International Business from the University of Cincinnati. She authored one of the first dog blogs, “Dogs’ Aye View,” from 2003 through 2009. Trish will be authoring articles for the newsletter and web site, as well as helping with marketing and events. She’ll be the voice on the other end of the line when you call Pure Spirit. Sheri Pederson, AnimalCommunicator
Sheri Pederson is the newest addition to our Pure Spirit Team. Sheri is a talented animal communicator with more than ten years of experience in this field. Sheri is the owner of OnTheMuscle equine massage and shows with her mare, Largo, in dressage and quadrille. (www.OnTheMuscle.com.) Sheri share’s her home with her partner, Steve, and cat, Millie, and until the passing of the perpetual puppy, Sasha, has also had German Shorthaired Pointers in her life. She is proud mom and mother-in-law and has two beautiful grandkids.
Sheri and Marilyn met at an Advanced Animal Communication workshop with Shamanic Teacher and Animal Communicator Mary Stoffel years ago and have been friends ever since. Sheri is the go to person whom Marilyn calls when she needs to communicate with her own animals about important decisions. And, of course, Marilyn reciprocates for Sheri.

HOW AN ANIMAL COMMUNICATION CONSULTATION WORKS:
It is always helpful for people and animals to be heard by one another. Animal communication bridges the gap for the human-animal relationship and is helpful in many situations, including fear and abuse situations, understanding of physical ailments, consideration of end-of-life transition, animals in spirit (animals that have passed on), behavior issues, etc. It can give the caregiver insight on how the animal feels and help them to administer proper care or find out ways to better interact with their animal charge. In some cases communication can alleviate a problem, in other situations animal communication needs to be combined with veterinary care, nutrition changes, complimentary health modalities, behavior modification and/or training for a holistic approach to the situation.
You can talk to as many animals as you like as time allows, but we will connect with each one individually. You do not have to be with your animal(s) when we do the consultation. Write down your questions before the phone consultation and leave space so you can take notes. We will also record the call for you. The audio will be password protected and available for you to listen to on this site at your convenience. (If you have a password preference, please tell your animal communicator at the time of the call.)
We don’t need any information ahead of time and anything need I will get from you at the time of the call – physical description, name and age of your animal. Although I often take the name of the animal in advance, and include it in my meditation, it’s not necessary that I have it. Some people like to send pictures. This is not necessary, but I’m happy to look at them if you send them via e-mail. Essentially the conversation will be like a relay call for the hearing impaired: you ask me a question via phone, I then send that question telepathically to the animal, the animal will respond telepathically and I will then pass that information on to you via phone.
It's very interactive. With a phone consultation you get immediate feedback and you can clarify things as you go – clarify with the animal, if you don’t understand, or clarify my translation, if it doesn’t feel right. You also have the opportunity to follow up on certain topics.

PHONE CONSULTATIONS are immediate and interactive. You talk with your animal through a translator, as if you were visiting another country where you didn't speak the language. Follow up questions distill meaning and understanding for the animals and you.
- $79/first 30 minutes or any portion thereof.
- Each additional minute is $2.00.
- 15 minute sessions are available for $45 to existing clients (because they already familiar with animal communication and a rapport has been established).
- There is no additional charge to talk to multiple animals (existing clients, please allow at least 15 minutes per animal. New clients, allow 20-30 minutes per animal).
- There is no additional charge for recording. Audio playback is only available through our website.
